I took the authors intent as it being dumb to build a 707 HP "meat ship" and price it at a level where it will trickle down to those that will attempt to use it on the street. Maybe with deadly consequences.
If that happens we will all pay in the form of higher insurance and bad publicity that could cause the manufactures to pull back to more modest power levels.
Also, I've noticed that largely those claiming handling doesn't matter drive 5+ year old base GT's, SS or are on the meat ship waiting list.
