Craigslist Scammers
So I put something up for sale on CL and in 1 week I have had two scammers try to use the old send me a check scam. Here is my question. What is the purpose of scammers who send people checks claiming they won the money? Lets say I get a check in the mail saying I won 1500$ and I cash it in. The check then bounces in about 3 - 4 weeks and then i'm possibly in trouble. So what does the scammer get out of that? I understand CL where I would get the check, cash it, send them the item and then the check bounces so they get my item for free basically. But those other scams make no sense to me.
