The new acceleration benchmark is 11.2sec 1/4. If Ford answers, Chevy's recent behavior suggests they will match and slightly exceed.
We now know the GT weighs 3,729. What do you predict a GT500 weigh and how much power to hit 11.2 1/4 minimum?
I saw you predict the G6 SS will weight 3,700 lbs or less. Where would that put the ZL1 weight and time in the 1/4 mile wars?

I really don't see GM building a ZL1 capable of 11.2 or less in the 1/4 mile. If the SS weighs 3,700 lbs and the ZL1 has 200 lbs over the SS, similar to the current cars, I bet it will weight around 3,900 lbs. Based on the LSA vs LS9, I think the ZL1 will get around 600 horsepower. That puts a power to weight of around 6.5 lbs/hp.
Unless Ford pulls out all the stops on a GT500 and cuts weight out like crazy, they will probably be similar in weight. I really have no idea what Ford will do for the GT500 engine. If anyone would top the Hellcat, it would be SVT with the next GT500.
