Personally I think your line of thinking is flawed.

The GT500 is a MUCH better Car than the SVT Cobra. The GT500 can produce wicked amounts of HP with just minor bolt ons... how much does a pulley swap yield on a Cobra?

AND your forgetting the big picture.

The SVT Cobra does one thing well, and thats go fast in a straight line. Dont give me crap about IRS making it handle any better. The Cobra is a straight line beast. And thats where it ends.

You buy a Corvette or a GT500, and you also have a car that is a straight line beast. Both are cars that take very well to mods and can put down some great times.

But what your also buying are cars that dont have dollartree interiors, and are more than one dimensional. The SVT would loose in any comparative category you would possibly be able to come up with, with the exception of drag times. Do the marginally better drag times from an SVT Cobra over modded Corvette's and GT500's make up for all the other shortcomings the car is plagued with? I dont think so.

I've always said if you want to put down sick drag times, or go 0-anything as fast as you can, you shouldn't be looking at cars. Go buy a street bike and call it a day. You buy a car for the whole package, and the whole package on an SVT cobra sucks.
