My boyfriend were actually talking about this yesterday when we saw the movie for the third time yesterday. lol And yes, the Sonic was originally suppose to be an Autobot. Which is why there's no one in it when it shows up to assist Optimus Prime and why Shane says "I don't know man, I'm just driving so good today."
