I know that a car shouldn't shut off while driving and it was an issue that definitely needed to be addressed sooner than it was. But you can still safely maneuver a car after the ignition is turned off. You still have enough line pressure in the brakes to slow down and stop like normal and you can still steer the car. Do people not realize that cars didn't always have power steering or brakes?
And before anyone gets all righteous on me, yes I have had to drive a car safely off the road after it stalled out on me. And no it wasn't difficult.
