Yeah I'm wondering how much of the inside of the van the officer saw before he fired but the news report doesn't give us much.

Earlier in the thread though people were mentioning a few things they would like to see police do that might prevent this kind of stuff from ever happening and I couldn't help but think that's more on the owner.

In this situation the police officer is suppose to be the professional....not the dog owner.
