Ford has been the big dawg in this area for a long time.
The next base 5.0 is going to be over 420HP.
But the 6.2 Vette engine is no slouch either with 460HP.
Finally, Dodge has come into the hunt. 6.4 with 485HP is right up there.
But what is more important for performance fans is power-to-weight on the driveline. This is an area that GM has dominated for 17 years.
I would not be surprised to see the 6.4 LT1 get a bump next year or 2016.
