The problem is that in 15 the 4200 lb car gets a new 8-speed automatic and a bump in HP/TQ. The manufacturer has already claimed low 12-sec times. This battle will become much closer very soon. Also if the 392 can't beat the Z/28 there is always the Hellcat

Also I am glad you are so certain that SRT8tech's pass was on DRs and gutted interior. He has now taken his 392 Charger with Tune/DRs to a 12:00s run, and come the better weather this Fall I am sure he will be in the 11s.
SRT8tech got 12.0 with a modified car on drag radials!? I'll be sure and send him a cookie.

Year after year it's wait until this, wait until that from the Dodge corner. Can Dodge not put better tires on the Challenger? Did you miss the dyno numbers above where the Challenger is putting down the same power and MORE torque than the Z/28? Odd how we can't compare manual transmission cars to manual transmission cars. You would think that would be apples-to-apples...

This whole discussion is moot. This is a $75,000 track car, not a drag car.
