Funny you should mention LS7. Ive been wondering something since ive seen R&T 1/4 mile specs of the Z28.
That car went 12.5@115mph with a LS7 that put down 450rwhp. Its a 3800lb car.
Now take a 392 challenger thats "only" making 470hp @ 4200lbs and its running damn near what the Z28 is. I know of plenty 12.3-12.5's @ 114ish out of bone stock 392's. How in the world is that car matching the Z28's times down 35hp and UP 400lbs??? Thats crazy.
Whats even more crazy is that with the new 8spd auto Dodge is advertising the 392 as a LOW 12 sec car where as with the old 5spd they advertised it as a high 12 sec car. Now this thing is in ZL1 territory as far as the drag strip goes. All while beeing down 100hp. Is Dodge just under rating those motors that much??
