Midway through Gen-2, Camaro introduced the Type LT, with spiffier exterior trim and a luxed-up interior. Take rate, as I recall, was significant.
For a 3SS, think "ZL1 - blower"...that missing price point between 2SS and ZL1 (under $50K, currently). Fertile soil...
