Exactly. I would hope the manufacturers can see that what we need is essential trim levels...within trim levels. Its not too difficult to imagine a 1SS, 2SS, 3SS for Camaro; and a GTS (a short lived option that was essentially a base v6 trimmed car with the GT drivetrain), GT, GT Premium system for Mustang being in place.
This would cover the buyers who want a low contented/low weight option, the buyer that wants all the bells and whistles, and the ones who want some but not all of the available content. Covering the widest range of buyers just makes good business sense.
