Two new wild fires have started somewhat near me. The closest one has I-17 closed at Sunset Park rest stop. Sunset park is probably one of the most scenic rest stops anywhere. The other is at Slide Rock Park just north of Sedona. It would be a real shame if Slide Rock gets closed off for the summer. I love hanging out in Sedona and Slide Rock is usually very busy.
None of these fires are close to North Peoria, so we are in no danger. Still a shame though.
