Two new wild fires have started somewhat near me. The closest one has I-17 closed at Sunset Park rest stop. Sunset park is probably one of the most scenic rest stops anywhere. It is believed this one was caused by someone throwing a lit cigarette out their car window.
That is something you never do in AZ!
The other is at Slide Rock Park just north of Sedona. It would be a real shame if Slide Rock gets closed off for the summer. I love hanging out in Sedona and Slide Rock is usually very busy.
None of these fires are close to North Peoria, so we are in no danger. Still a shame though.
Work will supposedly continue on our pool tomorrow. We have been through more down time than actual construction time.
