If only lawyers were held to same yardstick of perfection and foresight as Engineers are.
The world would be a better place.
Sadly, a lawyer has to do more than just suck at what he does to get punished. In fact, if he REALLY sucks, he actually makes more money, since he bills by the hour. So if an issue could be settled to the client's favor in 2 hours by an average attorney, but in fact he screws up at each step, and ends up taking 40 hours to cause his client to lose, he makes far more money and is considered a hero.
