One of my young clients, an adorable 4 year old girl, has been taken to the ER by ambulance & is now in ICU. This sweet child has had a rough life with a lot of trauma & is just now in the first stable place she has ever lived. For the last few weeks she has been having "seizure-like episodes" that seemed to be abuse/trauma related. All medical testing done by her pediatrician & the ER after several trips to the ER had come back negative for any medical cause. The last couple of days she had been doing some better with fewer of the spells & actually smiling & playing some which she had stopped. In fact until the last couple of days she would not do anything but sit in a blank stare & display a blank facial expression. When she would have the episodes she turned pale/purple, arms would draw up, she would become unable to walk or move & had collapsed so many times her body was brused all over.

Today she started having more of the episodes, fell & hit the back of her head & was taken via ambulance to a very good local Children's hospital. She has been in & out of conciousness. Right now she is unconcious & has a breathing tube in. I am so worried about this sweet baby. Send her all your prayers & positive thoughts for a swift & full recovery. She soooo deserves it.
