CNBC just had another segment updating what they titled "GM Recall CRISIS". Stating that GM was given the max fine from DOT of $35 million. To which the interviewer said "that's not much of a fine". And got a response of "that's only the beginning" the Department of Justice is still investigating (criminal investigation) as well as two Congressional investigations. This fine is to cover DOTs butt.
Plenty of dissatisfied customer interviews whom survived engines shutting off and the nightmare process it took to get the dealership and GM to buy back the vehicles. Dealers blamed the owners, your too short so your knee is hitting the ignition switch and turning off the car. And they have the paper trail to show how many times they took the car in complaining about it shutting off. Everytime the dealerships blamed the owners one way or another, in writing.
Oh, and the funny part, the former Cobalt driver is shown driving......you guessed it, NOT IN A GM CAR. and the segment ends talking about how furious these owners Must be with GM and all their lies.
