At this point, I likely shall get back money from my dealer, but I don't know if it shall be the full amount. Very dissatisfying. So, I'll probably leave my dealership with a great car, but as a dissatisfied customer. Even if I get back the full $3,200, this situation shall leave me with a bad taste in my mouth with my dealership and GM, but that must be OK with them.
So, I guess grin widely while driving my C7, and bear the ignominy of the buying experience.

Basically they are telling you up front don't expect the $3200 because they will NEVER get that amount of reimbursement, They get reimbursed the WHOLESALE increase, not the RETAIL increase. Expect at best $2800.
This dealer is a piece of work, I imagine the only reason your are still working with them is because they have an order in your name that is price protected. If the order follows these simple rules they will get the refund from GM, there is no variance.
1. Original Retail Sold order with customer name input accepted into the system at status 1100 before 03/04/14
2. No changes to the order from status 1100
3. Sold to customer = ordering customer
They are playing a game with you OR they are not really very good business people seeing as they don't seem to understand how their relationship with GM works. Price protection on retail sold orders is a standard practice, this isn't their first rodeo.
Good luck with it, I hope it works out for you.
