I just feel that the price may be more important to people than the MPG's, because it will take a while to "recoup" that money in savings just based on MPG's. It may not make sense, but if you compare two trucks both at 30K with all the standard options (these days which include power steering, power windows, a/c, not like way back when when you had to pay for them) the only thing that leaves for options are things like mylink and other fancy technical garbage, but its a truck, who needs that stuff? If mylink is standard or a measly $1000 why not opt for the full size that would be more capable in all aspects and can seat more etc? Me personally don't need/want more than a regular cab, but that is not an option on the Colorado, but it is on the Silverado. Anyway, I think that there will be too much compare shopping between the two and may eat at eachothers sales and possibly still cause someone to go to Toyota or Nissan due to the amenities for the price they can get or don't want
