Here's the thing, not everyone on this forum has always appreciated my wit and wisdom - And advice and counsel - As a first time Corvette buyer, who has resisted the temptation to buy a Corvette until this car that is the evolution and culmination of all the best of Corvettes, I enthusiastically embrace the C7 that is as good if not better than any sports car ever (including the interior), I approach this car with the patience and practicality to buy right with my mind as well as my heart - That said, I am finding myself being seduced by mods, and so I accept that I also may soon go the way of long time Corvette irrationals - I have purchased mods, joined my local Corvette club of mostly guys from Pax River NAS, can't wait for cruise ins, am wearing C7 apparel, and am talking this car with everyone - And, my C7 is just built, and its now only on its way to my dealer, and I don't even yet have it! - So I expect I shall have a few more things to say, but I also expect soon to do most of my talking with my clutch and pedal.

And, I am sure some have thought me sometimes a bit immodest - But Corvette and modesty are a contradiction in terms - I have never met a modest Corvette owner - We don't drive Corvettes to display our modesty - We buy mods to show off our C7s as uniquely great and ours, do we not? - How many Corvette people drive them in humility? - I have never seen a subdued Corvette or contrite owner - I have never known a Corvette or its owner to apologize for anything - The only contrition I have observed in a Corvette owner was for pretense - And, now, I am a soon to be Corvette owner, and with my moded Torch Red Adrenaline Red 3LT Z51 Vert with black wheels, red calipers, carbon fiber hood stinger, and carbon fiber everywhere inside and out, there shall not be anything reserved, discrete, or humble about my C7 or me - And, as I always say, all in good fun, "If you have it, flaunt it!"
