When I parked my SS for the winter last fall it was the most refined and modern car I'd ever owned.... I've been driving the A5 for about 2 weeks now, and took the Camaro out for the first drive of the season tonight and was shocked at how unrefined it suddenly feels. Not knocking the Camaro at all, as it still gets the garage while the Audi lives outside and is just my daily driver... but the overall feel of the Audi is so much different. The interior of the Audi is so much nicer than the Camaro... The seating position and overall entry/exit of the 2 cars is remarkably similar, in fact even the overall size of the cars inside and out is similar... yet they feel so different. Would I trade an SS Camaro for an A5 Audi, no way... but there's no denying the Germans know how to build a car, and I don't think there's anything on the road under 100k that has a better interior than Audi.

One thing I was surprised about is the brakes... My Audi doesn't have any brake option or anything but the stock 4 wheel discs, yet it stops so much quicker and harder than the Camaro SS with the Brembos. Never would have expected that, but there's no question the Audi has better brakes. I do like the feel of the shifter of the Camaro better, and the stiffer steering is more to my liking, but overall handling and road feel of the Audi feels good to me....probably better than the Camaro SS. I hate to admit it, but it does. The raw power the SS has makes up for all that though. Unlike my Camaro, my A5 ain't ever gonna run 12's bone stock...regardless of how refined it is. The Camaro is still way more fun in that department. Really the 2 cars are like apples and oranges, and aside from having 2 doors and a piss poor backseat for anyone over 5 years old, they really don't have much in common.

Glad I am fortunate enough to be able to own both.
Wow thanks . Sounds like the Audi is definitely worth checking out.
Great review I guess we could call it.
