I would be shocked to see Ford making over 500 HP from a 5 or 5.2 liter Coyote. It took CNC heads, a special intake and all sorts of upgrades to make 444 for the BOSS and it lost peak torque.
I do have to say, GM makes it easy for Ford to up the ante in the horsepower wars. GM builds an engine and that's it for the life of the engine. Ford constantly upgrades their engines for more power.
