I once got a ticket for going 4 mph over the limit (in a 65 zone).
Do I believe that I deserved to pay the ridiculous fine on the ticket? Hell no.
Did the cop have the right to pull me over and hand me the ticket? Hell yes. I broke the law.
Unfortunately the answer to the first question doesn't matter.
