The case is as many people knew that not just the GM cars but all cars could have their ignition affected by having lots of things hanging off the key rings pulling the weight of the key down......... this has been common knowledge to me and well a lot of people since crap I DUNNO.... LIKE TWENTY YEARS AGO. The fact they went after g.m. who just kind of half assed replaced the ignition switches for a lot of cars back when they found out about this problem in some of their models and did not retro fit them to every car affected is what they are going after them about now that they have a recall..... Yes people died, but will they look at competitors having the same problem? NO.... And g.m. is just being more cautious and doing more recalls if they think there is any problem as big government loves to fine and slap hands and act all BIG.. Like they always know what is best for everyone like say... a current program with 26% approval ratings. SO g.m.'s new CEO is making sure the company is more safe which is actually good for us, at the same time in a historical perspective life is not always fair.... I remember a ways back when G.M. had the largest fine ever for the build of the 73 model year up chevelle as it had a tank with a fairly straight fill tube that exited the rear bumper and a single flapper to keep the gas in the tank.

Well bleeding heart juries being all liberal with other peoples money that they are ruining our health care system, ( some constant rise in health care cost due to no tort reform...gee is our president a lawyer?), and every thing they touch said oh lets give a 9 billion dollar judgment or something to that effect because a family in California got ran into in big pile up on a California freeway and burnt to death from being slammed in the rear. My last car I built before my Camaro was a 73 chevelle ss clone, the rear bumper is massive with a rolled tube inner that weighs like at least more than me.
The government though said they should have had a second flapper in the fill tube to prevent gas ever being able to get out the tank which by the way was under the trunk and surrounded by frame rails also. Funny how they can go after g.m. when say the drop in gas tank of the 65 mustang is 1000% worse and the Ford Pinto.... oh but back in the day a liberal democrat president named Kennedy drove a 65 Mustang.....coincidence?

You be the judge, now in this environment the EPA and such have way too much power and need to be slapped big time into compliance with what is the reality for people who have to survive..... take for instance say Ethanol in our gas forced on us, a real rotten mess that is, or how they pay now to ruin roads up here in the N.W. in timber lands they wont let be harvested we the tax payers paid for so people will not use the roads so they do not have to maintain them..... Then come a say giant forest fire from their not managing things right in the forests there is no road to fight fires, and do you want to talk about protecting Salmon?

They require at least a 30 ft buffer of trees around the water in both sides of the rivers and streams to protect the salmon even if its not on the sunny side and even if the water is too cold for the fish as it is to promote their growth in numbers and size, I remember when they made fell trees into rivers be removed by timber companies as it hurt the fish and then they went everywhere removing the trees from the water. Now much later they actually add trees they said were bad to the water to help the fish spawn and keep the water not so rough......

The big government we have is a one size fits all approach that's a real crock compared to what our founding fathers knew with states having so much more power. Career politicians are the thing that is ruining our country because they cannot relate to us the common people and do nothing for us but only inflate their opinion of themselves as its a popularity competition with people thinking of themselves and what they can get from big sugar daddy government....the other guys money, and that's just what they want, dependence on them for everything.

And that's where revolution comes in back in grade school in our history books with the British taxing us because they could....no voting for us to say do something like approve Obamacare, no its just shoved down our throats as they say its a mandate and the "will of the people" because someone got reelected. And the will of the people comes down to a very few making the decisions and most have ZERO common sense.

SO if g.m. gets its hand slapped compare it to others? Is that what the liberal loving press will do? or are they under the thumb of those that allow them a lot of latitude like the media want so that some day we have to what? Watch Viagra commercials followed by Trojan twister commercials before we can get to the Cialis commercials as they funnel so much money to campaigns from medical drug companies profits soaring they can advertise like crazy with our money they spend to sell us more in a vicious cycle that raises prices to us. And that's the state of the world, at least a small part of it, and if you put too much stock into it look out AS THE STOCK MARKET IS RIPE TO FALL HARD SOMEDAY. And the lies you are fed can be comparable to who has the power at the moment in history, and only time will tell the truth hopefully if the historians are not to threatened. Good day this has been Walter Cronkite reporting for CBS evening news...... Sound of gunshot in distance as camera rolls out... LOL and the economy is strong!
