If it's a different municipality than the last time you went to traffic school then they may not have record.
Here is Bama they completely keep it off of your record and the particular court you're in keeps the record. If they ask you just say you don't recall. It's not perjury if you 'Dont' Recall' hahahaha
I've been to traffic school in 3 different courts. None knew of the previous so I was able to go to traffic school. This is back when I drove a truck.
Worth a shot.
I also agree that you don't need a lawyer. State your case and be accepting and not accusatory and you may get lucky.
