However, I can't speak for all law enforcement officers when I say that if its not work related I pull over or wait until I get a free chance to park and return the call. I do use a Bluetooth and that frees me up to continue patrolling for the most part but texting still causes me to have to stop. As for the guys that have a power trip and feel they are above the law, they tend to not last long on the department. Complaints and the one guy that decides to test the man behind the badge usually kill their careers. We try and weed out the guys that got bullied in school and try and get the job so they can return the favor. Departments don't have time for that garbage.

for most LEOs, I've run into a few that are asshats.. It is what it is, I simply allow them to do their jobs, and move on.
the place to get pissed and argue about the law is not with a LEO, they simply enforce, the place to argue statute is in the court.
