In these shots, the Impala-esque character line over the rear wheel is very evident.

In these, the curve seems to disappear.

Now it could just be super clever camo or just the angle each photo was taken. Just odd to me.

I think its the camo & angle. Here is a shot from the gmotors site (pic 6)



You can see the top portion of the character line there, so I assume the 'build up' portion of it is just hard to discern amongst the camo jibberish.
