You can use it at an ATM. That note was for international customers. All the information the store needs is displayed in the little screen such as expiration date, last 4 of card and the CCV number. And a thief can not use the card. There is an auto deactivate feature on the card once it has been separated from your phone for too long. There is a 7.5m range it has to be within from your phone to work. But if you dont have your phone with you or its lost power you can press a certain button sequence on the card to activate it for a short period of time. This is more secure than a credit card as the thief would need your phone or need to know the "password" to use it.

I just cant get past the replacement cost if you get it wet, damaged or the battery runs out. Otherwise I would jump on this.
