If you are in a 2 plate state, GM ships a plate bracket that actually extends above the grill on to the front. It looks stupid. They also ship an aero bracket that fits in the grill and it isthe best I have seen for the front plate from an aesthetic perspective.
GM does not recommend this as your plate holder but it works perfect. Remove the Chevrolet insert and there are 4 dimples in the base just drill these for your plate screws. they line up perfectly.
I received both with my car they were in the back with the other items.
