Heck put a supercharger on the GT motor and you have over 400 hp right there!
Nah, your missing the point... the GXP is more than just the motor upgrades.

First, the manual will NEVER be an option on the GT because of the Displacement On Demand feature of the engine... it needs to talk to the tranny to find out what gear your in to match it to the Load Conditions Table. If you suddenly dropped two gears in a manual, the DOD wouldn't be able to keep up.

Second, the engine upgrade is more than just horses... its opportunity. The LS3 is much better supported in the aftermarket and will handle mods easier (again due to the lack of DOD).

Third, the car has a TON of other upgrades: much bigger brakes, heavily upgraded suspension (with FULL adjustability of camber, caster, &toe), stiffer chassis (to due braces), lighter wheels, better tires, upgraded seats &steering wheel, different body kit (including front splitter) and a bunch of stuff that hasn't even been announced yet!

Its more than worth the extra $$$ if you ever think you might bring it to a track... but for carting groceries around... probably not.
