The initial drive was exhilarating! I wasn't comfortable with a stick at the first dealer I visited, so the salesman took me to a road where I could get used to it. Overall, I think the American car industry has been watered down so much while they try to compete with the economical stuff that Europe and Asia bring. So much of American culture is the muscle car that made being an American great. This is one of the few cars that I can say I am truly happy to see every time I look at it. Our cars were about sexy lines, striking stances, raw power. The new generation of muscle cars really sparks that fire inside me and the Camaro is by far my favorite. It's got everything I wanted in a car.
I'm getting her inspected today and I anticipate passing with flying colors. She's got 8,000 miles now and I look forward to every mile ahead of me. It was surprisingly hard to find a v8 with manual transmission, but I guess that's just how the car market is these days. Everyone wants a toaster than runs on bubbles. Not me. A car to me, is the biggest motivator I could have. When I drive to work and get out, I want to do something great, like what Chevy did with this car.
