Ron Pratte, who has a solid history of buying "significant performance Mustangs" (BOSS LS #1, GT 500 Convertible #1, and several other "charity" Mustangs amongst others) and has a spectacular collection of 'spensive vehicles with a focus on Fords, NEVER BID...not once...
To me, that's no joke...nor, do I suspect, does Dearborn think it was a joke, in ANY regard. A deserving charity was let down by this and, regardless of where your allegiances lie, it's NOT "good p.r." for this car, head-to-head with it's cross-town rival, nor for Ford fans in support of their favored car company...
For all the MILION$ Ford spent on the launch, you mean to tell me Mulally and Farley and the boys couldn't find someone to pony up some substantial ca$h for this supposedly "significant" Mustang?!
I'll bet a Maker's Mark the 1st Gen-6 Camaro, regardless of version sold, will go for w-e-l-l more than $300K. Feel free to bookmark this page...
