I couldn't agree more. People keep asking more and more of 1/2 ton trucks when the HD's and Superduty's are right there to do that very task. This explains why these truck have gotten so huge as well. We'd have better FE and performance if they weren't so big.

EXACTLY!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I mean if your going to tow like 11K pounds once or twice ok, a half ton can fit the bill. But if your going to tow towards the max ratings alot just get a heavy duty thats what they are built for!!!!!!!
