I'm not sure where all the Ecoboost hate really comes from. It wasn't supposed to get the FE of the 3.7 V6 with the power of the 6.2. It was supposed to get the FE of a small V8 with the power of a big V8. It does that (mine gets exactly what the sticker says for City/Hwy MPG). If Ford wanted to give up some towing capacity in exchange for FE they would develope another version...oh wait they just did.
