Then Im sure Im not releasing the ball correctly because everything just feels goofy. We start back up this Tuesday. Not sure if Im just going to leave my game alone for now, or go ahead and work on it. Its not like its a high cash league....
So you tried taking bigger steps instead of moving up? That would definitely be a tough transition to make. I could see it affecting your swing timing. A larger step takes longer than a shorter one, so you could end up with early timing unless you pick-up your pace. You may have subconsciously done that to some extent as your ball speed was up. But it sounds like your swing timing was still off based on your release issue. Note: I'm an engineer, not a bowling coach; so my observations here are may or may not hold water...
