I wouldn't worry about it too much. I'm sure that soon you'll be able to drive by them while they're sitting along the side of the road with their hood up. Just make sure you blow your horn and wave. It would be rude not to.
I don't understand how people can brag on them. Ford has been ranked at the bottom or near the bottom in all the reliability surveys for several years in a row now. It's always Ford, Lincoln, and Mini fighting it out for last place.
I ate lunch at a local diner today and there was a lady broken down and waiting for a tow truck, in the parking lot. She was driving a brand new Ford Taurus that she'd owned for 3 days. It has less than 200 miles on it. She was not a happy camper. So much for Ford quality!
