they don't build them for high top speeds, they build them for acceleration for things like merging with traffic, or getting on the interstate. the simple answer is most roads are neither designed for those speeds, nor are they free enough of traffic to support speeds like that. it's not so much you anybody cares about, it's other people. personally, I could care less if you pulled a Paul walker and went too fast and lost control and killed yourself in a collision with a light pole. but what I don't want is you going too fast, loosing control, and running into my wife and/or kids while they're trying to drive somewhere and injuring or killing them. the fact that you think like you do is a testament to why insurance companies charge you younger drivers so much, especially in a car like a camaro. you get in an accident going a hundred miles an hour or more, and your easily looking at 500k+ in claims. and that's assuming nobody dies.
