We kicked that around quite a bit, actually. It boils down to this:
The Z51 offers trans and engine coolers. We plan on upgrading these substantially, so the stock Z51 parts wouldn't really be kept in place anyway.
The dry sump really isn't a huge deal for what we're planning on doing with the car long term. The wet sump actually gives us a little more room to work with. We DO plan on building turbo systems for both versions. However, for now, we figured the wet sump car would get us up and running at a faster pace.
The wheels will be changed out for HRE's, so the bigger Z51 wheels would be a waste.
We are having the spoiler installed as part of the deal.
We paid sticker for this car. It was on the lot, and we didn't have to wait on an order. So, it all works out. But, we do plan on visiting the dry sump version once we get some testing under our belt.
