I've been going to the gym earlier than normal, getting up at 4:30 vs. 4:50 to give myself more time for cardio.
It's amazing how well you feel after doing 20-30 minutes of serious cardio. Really sucks at first, but over time your body adjusts and you start to become more motivated to run.
When I played college baseball, we used to run long distance after pitching to break down lactic acid and prevent soreness. I'd like to think I get the same effects from running after a solid work out.
....still not looking forward to the influx of new year's people. Hopefully they don't come in at 5am and ruin one of the best parts of my day.
