Owning a Camaro while a jr officer or enlisted is hard unless you have $$$ already or someone buys you the car. Not impossible but depends on your life. Most butterbars are driving tiny POS's for a while.
The food is gonna be good enough for basic and will vary depending on assignment and what not.
You should go for it if that's what you want. Don't try to calculate the difficulty but embrace the challenge.
