If you fly, you would land at Nashville where one of the major car rental agencies (Enterprise?) has a one way deal for those taking a Museum delivery.

I do not know about the C7 but based on experience with lowered cars (and the C7 rolls out of the plant lowered compared to a Malibu, say) you will need lots of wood to get the car on the carrier without shredding something.

It seems to me if you change gears often while on the highway to vary your rpms and are cautious about hard braking when stopping to fuel or eat you will be ok and if the weather turns adverse there are motels along the way to stop until conditions improve.
