As a newcomer, and a soon to be more active community member, I am a firm believer of sub-communities building the strength of the overall forum. Currently, the site has regional forums, which is great. However, creating region or metro-specific groups with "sub-admins" really builds ownership within the community.

A few of us are already dropping hints at a few of the local Chevy dealers to see if any of them are interested in sponsorships, insider info, etc. I know that we have a great following on G35Driver.com for the Dallas/Fort Worth area, and one of the dealerships on the outskirts of the metroplex definitely reaps the benefit of sponsoring our local group.

Maybe next time I'll sneak a camera in and risk it for the greater good. More to come.
