It started because Activision no longer mentions Crash on their website. This lead people to think that maybe it was sold off which then snowballed to that they did sell it to Sony. When approached Activision had this to say. “Activision owns Crash Bandicoot and we continue to explore ways in which we could bring the beloved series back to life,”.
Unfortunately as long as Activision owns Crash, there won't be any more. He is well known and loved among those of us older players but he is not known to the newer generation and a game featuring him won't bring in the $100 million profit that Activision requires before they decide to green light a project. I wish Activision would sell it to Sony so we can get another game but that won't happen either.
