Your thoughts

I was in the Chevy Dealership a few days ago looking for any left over 13 ZL1's and this dealership has several including a yellow coupe and convertible as well an inferno orange couple and blue ray. There is also a very nice Stingray on the floor, white with black wheels and 70k msrp.

However, when I got there I immediately saw this on the showroom floor. I have been following this car for sometime and thought it might look better in person. Exterior wise it is even more unremarkable than I had imagined. Bland and unbefitting of the price tag was my original thought. I am happy that Chevy is giving us the performance we've longed for and a rear wheel drive, big V8 performance sedan is just what the company needed, but I am just not sold on this car. The Pontiac G8 GT/GXP was a better looking package.

With that said, it does have a nicely appointed interior and the seats look and feel great.

Was this an afterthought just to find something to do with the G8 architecture? They're calling this the first true performance rear wheel drive with a Chevy badge in 17 years I believe. Chevy put no real marketing into this car, so I am worried about its future already. No one knows what it is... not even the salesmen I have encountered. What are your thoughts? Where does it fit in the lineup? Would you buy one over a SS, or more specifically a Challenger or 300 SRT-8? Where are the aggressive looks to compete with those vehicles?

Just thought I'd mention this car for you true Chevy enthusiasts and see if i was the only one who felt this way.
