She was their first victim. He came and stole the gun during the open house. Then during a private viewing stole the laptop. That is how they caught them.
THE WORST PART IS THE DETECTIVE ASSIGNED TO THE CASE DIDNT GIVE TWO SHITS! Didn't do any work. It was a friend of hers (cop) who did the leg work going to the wife's house. She gave it up right then and there (the laptop that is,) that led to the gun and the jewelery.

Sadly most departments have useless detectives. We are lucky ours are pretty active and good.
I hate to say it but for SURE should never leave a gun not locked up during any type of function where people will be in and out of your house. I live by the trust no one saying.
I honestly don't have anything worth a damn in my house lol my laptop is cheap as you can get and sucks.. My gun is always on me.. Well if I'm not working my duty weapon is here.. Just have to be smarter than the holster which sadly many are not lol
If they can't carry my TVs down all the stairs then hey they can have em lol and my tanning bed... It may stay here when I move. That thing did NOT go into the room easily!!
