Others may have other answers with "exotic" power sources, but from my own experience over the last 30 years, a generally good value battery with more than adequate performance has been Interstate Batteries. I like them a lot. Also, I think there's like 2 or 3 battery makers left that make all the car batteries with different labels, so choices aren't great below the surface.
