You guessed it: the last Corvair to actually be assembled, did not start. That was #6000, and it has truly disappeared from history.

laborsmith - memories. Technically speaking my one and only car accident was in a Corvair, when I was 10. Playing in the car, I hit the emergency brake and got it out of gear. I managed to roll it down a short hill, int the side of the house. Not a fun day!!!
