Wow.

We certainly got off topic didn't we.

I'm not an officer, but have several fiends who are. Thank you to all our officers who do a thankless job for a bunch of mostly thankless people. Some of us actually apreciate what you do for us.

I actually got pulled over quite a few times when I was younger, when I first started working at my current job I was working nights and I got pulled over quite a lot... I imagine the police assume anyone out at 3am must be up to no good , they always had some good "excuse" for pulling me over, and as annoying as it was I was always respectful, and I never got any sort of ticket, although my car was in horrible shape and I'm sure the officers could have easily have found some reason to give me one.

Think of police officers as any other customer service, you get what you give. I drive for a certain big brown delivery service, and I have customers who treat me nice and customers who are rude, guess who gets really good service and who gets the bare minimum? It's going to be the same way with a police officer. Talking to one of my friends who works traffic ( his last job before retirement, and gets to ride a Harley all day ) I get the feeling that he is just doing his job, which in this case is writing tickets, but when people start getting mouthy he can and will easily find more things to write up. In otherwords, if you are going to be an ahole he will start walking around your car and find that you don't have a front plate, and the he will write you up for that, usually he won't, just depends on your attitude.

Be repsectfull, no one said you have to kiss up, just remember the golden rule.
