Chevrolet Corvette Stingray C7 Forum - View Single Post - $5-10k Over MSRP??

So I went to a dealership today where I purchased my C6 and they told me even when I order the new C7 I have to pay $5-10k over MSRP because It was a new body? I thought those were only for the display models, not ordering the car.

Can anyone give me their insight please? Thanks.
