I'm new but I thought I would share for anyone who loves their motorcycle. I built this 2000 V-star Custom (again) in two weeks. I've been thru this bike from top to bottom. It has a rigid frame, pistol grip shifter, clip on bars, projector headlight, LED pods mounted under fender for brake and turns, hypercharger, ankleblower pipes I built from scratch. plasti dipped black, chopped rear fender, side mount plate, carbs slide mods (snappier off the line) and proper rejet and carb synch. The wife dosn't love the ride so much and goes for maybe a half hour. I have taking this all the way from Vermont to Connecticut in one day (about 500 miles) and rode comfortably. I crashed this same bike in August of last year and was very fortunate. I was supposed to be one of 3 things 1) An amputee of the left arm because the force that I hit the ground with separtated my AC joint. The doctor stated if I didn't compete in my bodybuilding it would have torn off my body 2) brain dead because I went over the handle bars and landed head first at 35 MPH 3) Dead....and that's all. So I was very fortunate. I tore thru it during the winter and made it good as new again. I am searching for a house w a garage. I can pop these bikes out in as little as two weeks. I've built a few for a few people. They run about 6-8K including the bike.
